René’s personal testimony:
Even before He made the world, God chose, among many others, one person named René Allynn Einfeldt, to be His child. It was not until 1952 A.D., over 1900 years after Christ died on the cross in my place, that I was born into this world. I learned at an early age that my parents were missionaries to Central Africa. They had gone there to tell the Africans, who were sinners, the good news of salvation through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. While in the second grade at M.K. boarding school, the Holy Spirit convinced me that I was a sinner just like all the Africans and just like every person in the world. I was told that Jesus had died on the cross because of my sins and to take away my sins. One night after devotions as I lay on my bunk, I trusted the Lord Jesus as my Savior and was immediately born from above. God’s sovereign choice in eternity past had finally accomplished its purpose in saving me and the name that my parents had given me now had real significance. The name René, you see, means “reborn” or “born again”. During the latter part of high school and while serving in the U.S. Air Force, the Lord gave me the desire to serve Him on a full-time basis. While at Bible College, He directed me to Sonia who also wanted to serve Him. After her graduation from Baptist Bible College, we were married on July 10, 1976. God has graciously allowed us to serve Him as a couple since that time.

Sonia's personal testimony:
I was born and grew up in a Christian home, and I thank the Lord that I heard of Him from my earliest remembrances. I grew up just feeling “a part” of Christianity. It was not until I was very active in our church, and working at our church camp, that the Lord spoke to me in a personal way convicting me of my PERSONAL need for salvation. I knew it in my head, but that weekend, I realized it in my heart. I was to sing in a trio on the camp island that night, but we had forgotten the flashlight in the cabin and we couldn’t see the words to the song. I went back to get the flashlight and while there, knelt by the bunk and trusted Christ before returning to the island. It was shortly after my salvation that I knew the Lord wanted me to serve Him in missions. The Lord directed me to Baptist Bible College of Clarks Summit, PA, where I was a missions major. Between my Junior and Senior years of college, I went to Togo, West Africa on a summer missions trip for 6 weeks. The Lord used that summer to not only confirm His will for me to be involved in missions, but also to give me a burden for the continent of Africa. Upon my return to Baptist Bible College that fall, an “MK” (missionary kid) from Africa came into my life, and we were married the following summer. We have served the Lord together in three countries in Africa.

Einfeldts' sending church:
Our sending church is the First Baptist Church of Randolph, NY.
Pastor Paul Wulf and his wife Penny and their 4 children have been at Randolph
since December 22, 2003. They have already been a great blessing to our
church, and we are thankful that we were able to get to know the Wulfs while we
were in the US in a period of transition! On June 6, 2004, the church had a
re-commissioning service for us, recognizing the new ministry that the Lord had
called us to, and agreeing to be behind us in prayer and encouragement, as well
as committing to our financial support.

Einfeldts' present ministry in South Africa:
We ministered in Kimberley, South Africa for three years
(2004 - 2007); then spent almost 5 months in the
US reporting to supporters and renewing our visas. We returned to South
Africa and Kimberley the end of September 2007. We look
forward to another three good years of service there.
Kimberley is in the heart of South Africa, the capital city of the Northern Cape
Province. [Learn more about our ministry in Kimberley on our Photos
page.]
Some ministries that we are involved in:
evangelism, teaching (Bible, morality training, teacher training), assisting in
Kimberley churches in various ministries, particularly music ministry, camp
ministry, youth groups, ministering to children affected by the HIV/AIDS
pandemic or street children whose parents were either not there or emotionally
not there, ministering to teens (teen suicide in Kimberley is double the
national average), and however else God leads us. We were able to
introduce three American young ladies to missions in Kimberley during our first
term of service there.
